Code of conduct for lobbyists

Lobbyists have the obligation to respect the Code of Conduct for Lobbyists. Complementary to the Act, the Code provides for standard of conduct and values to which lobbyists must adhere in their communications with public decision-makers (elected officials or public servants):

  • respect for institutions;
  • honesty;
  • integrity;
  • professionalism.

Non-compliance with the Code renders a lobbyist liable to penalties.
